Food is obviously one of the necessities of life. However, did you know as a human there are two types of food you need in order to survive? A plant comes from the dirt and in order to survive it has to continue to draw its nutrients from the dirt. Now, if you really knew who you were and where you came from, you would know how to eat. Human comes from two words: humus, meaning dirt and man, meaning spirit. So you are a spirit in a dirt body. Jesus says something very interesting in Matthew 4:4. He says, “It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.” In other words, Jesus was saying that in the kingdom of heaven you need God’s laws; not only natural food (bread) to feed the natural man, but you need spiritual food (God’s Word) to feed the spiritual man. Therefore, God’s word and His law go hand in hand. In a kingdom, a king’s words are laws, or rules that cannot be broken without seeing death and destruction as a result. Nevertheless, strangely enough, people believe the law of gravity and other scientific laws, but they do not believe in the laws and consequences of God’s kingdom! ... Read more
