hi well its been a fantastic year with so much going on i thought id like to give you our top 10 tips for keeping safe,healthy, wealthy and wise this holiday season.
1. Have fun at the partys but dont practise “you know what with other adults” getting pregnant in the process and regretting it later.
2. stay safe if you go out over the holiday season drinking around the clubs if you intend to get drunk make sure someone in the group says sober to look out for the others .pay them a fiver each of you to give them the incentive they can then make sure thewre is enough money for the taxi home keeping an eye on every one etc.Watch out for dinks getting spiked especially as rape is on the increase.
3.If you drink too much alchohol drink plenty of fluids which will rehydrate you such as water fresh orange juices, it will keep your immune system topped up too against flu which have arrived earlier than usual in the uk this year.
4. If you over eat and too stop the pounds piling on take fresh walks every day you will reap the benefit,you will get fitter,try a walk in the woods we have started to go every afternoon for a break the fresh air you feel it in your lungs it is unbelieveable so fresh it makes your eyes and nose water.
5.Replace the oil for roasting potatoes with one cal spray oil, its only one calorie per squirt , pre boil first for 20 mins the cook 20 mins in oven or a little longer depending how dark you want them.
6. swap pasta for wholewheat pasta. a lot healthier and you don’t notice the difference.and with all the cristmas cooking being so rich its a start afresh for the new year. eating healthy
7.Dont be silly trying to buy just one more present for the children, its much better to spend the time with them on your day off than buying them with extra presents. children usually get so much they get bored very easily after the novelty of christmas has worn off,make up games or play some that your rememebr palying as a child or wrap up a family present (which any one could win) and do forfets wrap the present up many timesthen pass the christmas parecel around the room to party music, much more fun if you keep it a surprise it will be lots of fun for the whole family too.
8.Dont get into debt over the holiday period, pay cash then you wont regret paying it back in the new year when the economy is so tight.buy items in the pre christmas sale.
9.start saving 10p,20p or 50 pence pieces or loose change now in a left over christmas cake tin or pringle tin. by next year a lot will be saved up for you to sepnd as you wish (we just put in 2p5pand 1ps and i got £44.00 off my husband we go halves you see lol).
10.use a grilling machine and collect the fat, see what would have gone onyour hips if you fried it in a frying pan, it drains off into a little boat shaped container, soak it up with oats and give to the birds watch them fight over it, they will keep warm in the colder weather and youand the family will get to see the wildlife throught he window. so cute and wonderful for the children to take part in.
